- When PAHANG were the team to beat
- When I actually got upset when Pahang were beaten.
- When KL actually won quite a lot of trophies
- When Fandi Ahmad was the player every kid loved
- When Piyapong "Ping Pong" Pyu-On (can't quite remember the spelling) was DA MAN.
- I actually cared who won the Malaysia Cup and the local league
