Liverpool: Geram betul, gua!

Apara.

Takpe lah.

Super Cup: Liverpool 3 - 1 CSKA Moscow (ET)

I wanted to watch the match last night, but after my assignment in Genting, I was too pooped to wait up anymore. So I slept.

Woke up early, came down to the Starbucks in First World Cafe, and the first thing I did was check Guardian Football. EH? Why no news on Super Cup wan?

Checked Soccernet, oh... LIVERPOOL WON 3-1!!!

Sure, it's just the Super Cup, kinda like the Community Shield in European terms, but heck, at least Cisse scored. TWICE.

But then again, the last time we won the Super Cup back in 2001, we then proceeded to slump the following years... sigh...

What else is there? Football 365 is reporting that Owen is coming to Liverpool! For bloody 10 million! geez. and where's the Central Defender and Right Winger we need so badly? Don't tell me Cisse's gonna play right wing ala Heskey? Deja vu all over again eh?

Champion's League: Whew!

Liverpool are through to the group stages, whew!

Good thing I didn't watch the match last night, or I'd be in an even fouler mood than I am right now. Losing 1-0 to Sofia at ANFIELD? Some European Champions we are.

Oh well, Rafa Benitez probably had one eye on the Super Cup this Friday anyway. So what the heck, at least we're through. Now give us the money!

In other news, Real Madirid's most inspiring buy EVER also inspired this blurb in Guardian:

Woodgate plays - for just four minutes
Friendly: Jonathan Woodgate touched the ball on three occasions as Real thrashed a MLS XI. Well, it's progress.

Eheh.

Liverpool: Do I really want Owen back?

The answer is, YES.

After all, which club (especially one whose strikers don't seem to be scoring...) wouldn't want a striker who scores an average of 20 goals a season here even when he is 'off-form', and nets so many goals in La Liga off the bench?

Ok, that may be the LOGICAL reason to bring him back, but what actually, the reason why I want him to come back is purely sentimental.

Yes, I once said that we really didn't need him to come back. But deep inside, I still acquaint Michael Owen to Liverpool, and I really hope that he WILL come back to the club one day.

Like Stevie G himself said, can you really imagine having Michael Owen lining up in the Premiership with ANOTHER CLUB, playing AGAINST Liverpool?

It's unimaginable. It'll be even worse if he goes to Man Utd.

Rafa, it's still your call. But if there is a chance, GET OWEN BACK.
