Wahlau, ONE goal in THREE games. Liverpool's strikers are really doign the business eh?
Last night's 0-0 draw with Spurs was encouraging AND discouraging at the same time.
For one, we kept another clean sheet. third clean sheet in a row in the EPL, and the second one away from home.
Problem is, we seem to be trying to keep clean sheets at the OTHER end as well. Sigh.
After seeing him in action for the first time, I can't help but think
Crouch is too lanky to be of anything but a nuisance. He looks like Puddleglump the Marshwiggle from Narnia. His limbs are all over the place, and he seemed to be one step slower than everyone else on the pitch. MAybe it's lack of match practise, but now I AM wondering why Rafa bought him...
Cisse? I think he tried. But he needs a lot more shooting practise. If this were CM, I'd have him stuck under intensive shooting practise week in and week out until his shooting stats go up to 20. Now, it's only about 10.
And last but not least,
Lui Garcia. FOR GODS SAKE, can you at least TRY to do LESS instead of OVERDOING things all the time? Instead of trying to DRIBBLE your way through two defenders, wouldn't it be easier jsut to pass the damn ball? ANd instead of trying to VOLLEY the shots all the time, can't you try something LESS spectacular? For every goal you score, there are 20 bloody times you shoot but DON'T.
You wanna see how overdoing things can REALLY cost you? Look at Arsenal's game last night - trying to over-elaborate the set-up with too many passes and losing the plot in the final third, and then getting hit with two sucker punchs (of course, it was Cygan's fault mostly).
Three clean sheets in a row = GOOD
ONE goal in THREE games = Not so good
Tiem to start scoring, guys. We're already 10 points behind Chelsea. Not going for the record of finishing with the most points behind the leaders again are we?
Oh well, at least ManUre didn't win last night either (though I think if Howard or Carrol were still in goal, they would have lost to that last Cole shot...)
